Guided 18km walk to celebrate Pilgrim Paths Week. For information   contact, 087 2518174, Email: foh@udaras.ie.

This free walk will be fully guided by a voluntary group and will include talks from Isabel Bennet, archaeologist, at many of the sites along the pilgrim route.
No booking is required. Please meet on Easter Saturday 20th April at Ventry Beach car park at 10ish and the walk commences at 10.30 am. Walking boots and gear are necessary. Also bring packed lunch and water. There will be a break at Gallaras for lunch. Toilets and water are available at this location. Walkers can arrange to return to Ventry from Gallaras or Cill Maoilchéadair or at Baile an Lochaigh at the base of Mount Brandon. The last part of the walk is over Rinn Chonaill Hill. The walk finishes at the other side of this hill. We do not climb Mount Brandon.
Time/distance: approx. 5.5 hours and 16km. We arrange return bus for those who require..approx 8-10 euro each, depending on numbers and bus company.
A stamp for passport will be provided on the day or, alternatively, the stamp can be obtained at Ventry Post Office or Dingle Tourism Office.
There are many accommodation choices depending on budgets, personal tastes etc. The trail head at Ventry is only 5 minutes from Dingle town. Look at www.dingle-peninsula.ie for a comprehensive list.

Following the great success of the recent Irish Pilgrim Journey, there is now another opportunity to go where the spirit takes you on two of Ireland’s most captivating mystical trails, while in the company of like-minded people. The upcoming Kerry Pilgrimage Weekend ( Sept 23 and 24) offers participants an opportunity for a fully guided walk of the 2 pilgrim Paths In Kerry and 2 stamps for the new Irish Pilgrim Passport. The paths that will be completed are:

Cosán na Naomh Dingle, Co Kerry (Sept 23,): Facebook: Cosán na Naomh/the Saints’Path.
Cnoc na dTobar, Cahersiveen, Co Kerry (Sept 24): Facebook, Cnoc na d’Tobar

Delighted to announce that once again we will be having a Pilgrimage Walk along the Cosán na Naomh as part of the National Pilgrims Paths Week, This is the fourth year doing the walk, in conjunction with Pilgrim Paths Ireland and we will have walking guides and archaeologists to tell you about the various places that we pass enroute.

Wandering with a Purpose

(The archaeology of Cosán na Naomh/the Saints’ Path, Corca Dhuibhne, Co Kerry)

This lecture will be delivered at 7.30pm, in Tralee Library. It is organised by Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society and the lecturer will be, Isabel Bennett, who is a well-known archaeologist and also Curator of Musaem Chorca Dhuibhne, County Kerry. She is a specialist in the rich archaeological history of the Dingle Peninsula. Admission is free and all are welcome.
